Cara made her singing debut at church when she was 11 - and cried through the entire song! Despite that inauspicious start, and after 8 years of dance lessons and many talent shows and church performances, Cara answered an ad in the paper for a female singer. After dispatching the competition in short order, she established herself as the most dynamic performer in Little Rock's newest pop/dance band, Superflux. |

Cara was a three-year member, captain and choreographer of her high school's dance squad. In July 2001 in Nashville, in her first foray into the pageant world, Cara captured the prestigious crown of Miss Teen America, handily winning the talent portion of the final night's competition with a stunning performance of Patsy Cline's "I've Got a Right to Cry". |

Her title has afforded her the opportunity to be the featured performer at several high profile events such as singing the national anthem at major league sporting events. In addition to performing with Superflux, Cara continues to sing with her church's praise band and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in history at Hendrix College. |
