Stuttgart, here we come!!!! After the Duck Gumbo, it's anybody's guess when we
might all see each other again. We're not going to pull the typical thing that
most bands do and make it our "farewell gig", because ya never know. But we will
wish Godspeed to our dear friend and musical partner Colter. He's bound for The
Big Apple to try out city life for a little while, and we have no immediate plans
for Superflux to try and replace him (like that's even possible!!) We've loved
every minute of this, especially once Jimmy added the final piece of the puzzle.
We hate that it was so late in the game that we landed him!!
Anyway, we've been through a great deal together, and we are grateful for the
friends we've made over the past seven (seven?!??!) years. Thank you to everyone
who's been there for us. Please check this site every now and then; we hope to have
a project up and running soon that will feature original songs that we've been
working on. Let's see,... Ultraflux?... No. Super-reflux?... No.
Cara's Flowers?... Sort of taken. Hmmmmm...
For now, please come out to the Duck Gumbo and help us send Colter off with a lot
of beads and stickers!!!
2/13/07
Well, I've finally got the pictures from the Duck Gumbo up in the Gallery,...
all 94 of them! (And that was after forcing Cara to cull them down by about
half.) We had a great time again this year; the folks in Stuttgart really know
how to throw a party!!
We're all staying busy with lots of other projects, but look for us
be back out playing soon!!
10/10/06

We're excited to be playing at the Arkansas State Fair again this year!!
Come see us on the O'Rielly Stage Friday night, October 20. We'll be
playing sets at 5:30, 7:00 and 9:00. That way you can hang with us before
and after David Lee Roth (the 2nd prettiest blond performing that night!)
6/15/06
Hey Gang!! We're excited to say that our long hiatus is finally over and
we're back to playing again. We're also extremely pleased to welcome our
newest member, Jimmy Tomlinson on bass. Our buddies in Mr. Happy are being
kind enough to share Jimmy with us, and we're grateful to have him aboard.
We've got some private parties kicking off this summer and fall, and we
hope to have some club dates to announce really soon. We can't wait to
see everybody again!!
3/14/06
We'll be back! We're just taking a long overdue breather. See you soon!!!
11/28/05
Wow. We thought we knew what a party was,... then we went to the Duck
Gumbo down in Stuttgart. Wow. The pictures are in the gallery. Check em out!
10/30/05
Since the last time we saw everybody, Superflux has turned 5 years old!!
That's right, it was on Oct 13 2000, that Cara made her debut in the Little
Rock Club scene. We can't thank Tony and the boys in Jet420 enough for
helping us get started, and we're very grateful to our friends and family for
sticking by us for the first part of our journey. Stay tuned, the best is
yet to come!!!
Along those lines, Cara is writing more and more and has added playing
guitar to her already amazing bag of tricks. In the coming weeks, we hope
to have great news to share about Cara's originals project.
In the meantime, we hope everybody will make the trek down to Stuttgart
on Novemeber 26 to join us for the Duck Gumbo Cookoff!!! What better way
could you spend your Saturday than to eat gumbo, have a few beers, and party
with Superflux?!?
8/30/05
The Arkansas Blast just keeps getting bigger and better every year! Thanks
Johnny, Scott and everybody involved!! And special thanks to Mother Nature for
giving us a break in the heat!!
We're headed to Hot Springs this Saturday to play at a great new club
called 2720 Restaurant and Night Club. We'll be playing from 9:00 to 11:30
and then turning it over to DJ,... so PLEASE help us out and get there early!
If you arrive before 8:00, or eat at the restaurant, you'll get out of a
cover charge.
It's located at 2720 Albert Pike (2720,...get it?). For you LR folks,
just go to Malvern and pick up 270 West. Stay on it to loop around Hot
Springs. Keep following the 270W signs until it becomes Albert Pike. The club
is right across from the Lake Hamiilton Resort. It's a really easy drive, so
even if you don't have plans to stay the weekend at the lake, we hope you'll
join us for the evening.
8/20/05
Guess I'm just not much of a blogger at heart. Oh well. Big thanks
to Bernard and the folks up at Pompano's for taking such good care of
us. It's a wonderful place and we had a great time playing there,...
despite the fact that the heat just about did us in!!
We're getting revved up for the Arkansas Blast next Saturday. Head
on out to the Fairgrounds and check out the cool car stereos that they'll
have on display and then stick around for our set. We'll be playing
around 6:30.
6/29/05
We're getting geared up for "Hot Dogs and Cool Cats!", a fund
raiser for the Little Rock Animal Shelter. It will be Tuesday July 12
in the River Market pavilion (where the farmers' market is held.)
More details as we learn them...
5/9/05
Tulsa was a gas!! Thanks to Robert and everybody at The
Elephant Run for making us feel so welcome. We can't wait
to do it again!! Thanks also to Randy for making it happen
and to Terry for making it sound good!!
4/20/05
We had an awesome time at Cajun's Saturday!! Thanks
to everybody who came out to enjoy the night with us.
Best wishes to our two brides, thanks for celebrating
with us!
Who said Catholic school girls don't know how to have fun?!?!
1/18/05
The pics from New Year's Eve are finally up!! Sorry it
took me so long.
1/9/05
Happy New Year from Superflux!!! It was a long and fun
holiday season for us, and one that we hope was good to all
of you. Now that we've said goodbye to 2004, it's time to
see what 2005 has in store. We're going to spend the next
several weeks doing some writing and recording, but we'll
be back ready to rock Cajun's before you know it!
Several people have asked when we'd have pictures from
New Year's Eve up in the gallery. I promise they'll be
there soon; I've just been trying to get everything ready
for our trip into the recording studio.
12/14/04
Here's the info for New Year's Eve at the Wyndham:
NEW YEARS INFO
It looks like the folks at Clear Channel are really getting behind
it this year, so it ought to be a good time!!
11/12/04
We're on for New Year's Eve at The Wyndham Riverfront in NLR! We don't
know the details of the room packages yet, but I'll post them as soon
as we find out. You can also call them directly at 371-9000.
Having moved a date to accommodate a Christmas party, I was a little
worried that we wouldn't get to do another Cajun's date before the end
of the year. But have no fear, our buddy Chris Cline made it happen and
the folks in Blues DeVille were kind enough to swap dates with us. We'll
be making a rare Friday night appearance at Cajun's on December 17th.
We're always thrilled to work with the folks at Cajun's and we
hope you'll all come out to have a holiday blow-out with us!!
9/28/04
Achtung!!!!
Oktoberfest Wed 10-6 Bosco's 6:00-10:00
That's right, Cara is searching frantically for a St. Pauli Girl outfit
because Superflux is going to help Bosco's celebrate Oktoberfest. This will
be a good one for those of you who don't like to stay up as late; we'll be
playing from 6:00 to 10:00. Come on out and enjoy some Bosco's beer with
us. Technically speaking, we're not a polka band, but who knows what might
happen when the kegs start flowing...
9/21/04
Saturday at Cajun's was a night for celebration! First of all, it's great
for us any time we get a chance to head home to Cajun's. Chris and the
gang at Cajun's have been there with us since the early days, and we're
grateful for the faith that Chris has shown in us!!
Secondly, we're thankful that The Hogs won and that we had lots of folks
come to Cajun's for the victory party.
Last, but certainly not least, we were honored to have old and new friends
choose to spend their various special occasions with us. We had a bevy of
beauties share their bachelorette party with us, and we got to help Richard
either celebrate a very brave choice,... or be the butt of a good spirited
prank - we never found out which. We also got to help recognize the birthdays
of two dear old friends, Christy Parker and Alan W. (sorry, Dude it's pure luck
if I spelled your first name correctly; there's no way I'm going to try
your last name!), and the birthday of Jennifer, one of our newest and bestest
friends!!
Babe Night at Cajun's!!
Of course, we want to thank all our friends and family that come out and
hang with us - and make the wait staff at Cajun's love us! (Yes, David,
this means you.)
We hope that everybody will come out to the State Fair on Tuesday October
12. It will be Ride for the Cure night, so you can buy an armband
and ride all night for cheap while supporting the Komen Foundation!!
Drop by the Smirnoff tent and we'll serenade you while you eat
Grater Taters and fried Twinkies!!
9/6/04
The weather turned out to be wonderful for the Back to School Bash at
Wild River Country! We want to thank Johnny Jackson and the crew from
Alice 107.7 for letting us play, and want to express our appreciation to the
folks who came out,... despite the fact that school's already been back
in session for a couple of weeks now! We hope everyone had as much fun as we
did, and hope that the younger members of the audience will come out to the
State Fair on Tuesday Oct 12 for Ride for the Cure. We'll be playing on the
main stage from 6:00 to 9:00. It will be a wristband night benefiting the
Susan G. Komen Foundation. So come out and ride all night for cheap,...
AND help a good cause!
We also want to remind all you adults to come out to party with us at
Cajun's - Saturday 9-18!!
9/2/04
Cross your fingers that Mother Nature smiles on us tomorrow for our
rescheduled back-to-school bash with Alice 107.7.
Our buddy Johnny Jackson will be doing his show live from WRC
and we'll be set up by the wave pool and playing all evening.
It's only $10 to get in, so come out and enjoy the water and
the music!!
8/20/04
Well, Mother Nature has gotten the better of us, and we're going to have
to wait a few weeks for the big party at Wild River Country with Alice 107.7.
To tell you the truth, I'm a little relieved because the freshman class
at Hendrix just WORE US OUT last night!! That is a crazy bunch, and were a
real pleasure to play for. I'll have some pics in the gallery soon, as
well as some pics from the taping of Staney Knox Live.
We'll keep you posted about rescheduling Wild River Country.
7/19/04
The dance floor at Cajun's reached new heights Saturday night! Everybody
was still going strong at quitting time!! As is usually the case, some of the
lows on the dance floor were pretty fun too! (Yes Nicki, this means you.
We loved the "Cat Dance," by the way!!!) Cara got even more camera happy than
usual, so I'll need another day or so to get the pics in the gallery.
Thanks to everybody who came out and enjoyed the night with us. It was
great to see the gang from CTK; don't worry we won't tell Msgr. Malone just
how much fun you had. Thanks also to my old buddy Nelson Chenault for
heckling,... I mean cheering us on. Nelson, I'll try to convince Cara to
learn some Talking Heads for next time. It was great to see our long time
friends, Sandy and Sam, make it out too. Rumor has it there was even a Chuck
Harder sighting. Of course, we wouldn't be anything without friends and family,
and we're grateful for all of you.
We'll be back at Cajun's on Saturday, Sep. 18!! In the meantime, keep your
eyes and ears peeled for some special events that we've got planned in August.
Peace Out! (Or whatever the kids are saying these days.)
5/12/04
Huge thanks go out to Chris Cline and the folks at Cajun's Wharf
for working overtime to get the club ready for the Grand Re-Opening, a.k.a.
Cara's 21st Birthday Bash! We had a great time, and Cara had a play-de-do!!
We were grateful to have so many friends come out to celebrate with us.
It was particularly nice to see one of my oldest buddies, Nelson Chenault!!
Don't be such a stranger, Nelson! We were also really glad to have a visit from
Scotty and Laura from the Arkansas Twisters. Thanks also to Latisha, Liz
and "Cousin Clara" from the Sirens for coming out. Latisha, what's with not
dancing?!?! As always, we couldn't get by without all of our friends from
Baptist Hospital. Finally, a big thanks to Alice 107.7's Johnny Jackson for
coming out and for plugging us on his show!!
4/20/04
We had a great day with the folks from The Arkansas Blast Car Stereo
Competition this past Saturday. We saw and heard some awesome vehicles there.
Thanks to everybody who came out, and special thanks to Johnny Sanders and
Scott Munn for being so cool to work with!
Superflux with Johnny Sanders
2/16/04
Looks like we won't soon forget Valentine's Day 2004; Mother Nature
threw us a curve in the form of several inches of snow!! We'd like to thank
those hardy few (pun intended, Bob and Linda), that braved the blizzard
to come out and join us for an "intimate" evening at Sticky Fingerz.
We made some new friends, and were glad to see some familiar faces, too.
Thanks to our old security chief, Carter Branstetter for dropping by to
check on us. Thanks also to Cee Cee and Tony for coming out and dancing up
a storm. As always, the folks and the food at Sticky's were great. Mystro
was a joy to work with as usual. Despite the conditions, we had a great
time, and hope that everybody else did too.
1/2/04
Happy New Year from Superflux!! We rang in the new year in a big way with
the folks at the Wyndham Riverfront and those crazy boys from Magic 105.
Check the gallery to see lots of great pics from the party!
12/8/03
Cajun's was wonderful as always Saturday night! Thanks to all our family
and friends for coming out to party with us. Check out the gallery to see
one of the best six-packs in Little Rock (no, not you, Colter.) Look closely
enough and you'll see some local celebs cutting a rug, like Mikey from
Popsonic! Thanks to Johnny Jackson for coming out to hang with us, and for
helping get the word out! Thanks also to Officer Doris of the Fidelity Police
for scaring the wits out of some poor souls.
12/5/03
Cara paid a visit to Johnny Jackson of Alice 107.7, and helped field some calls
during Party Line. She dispensed some great advice about pick-up lines
for would be suiters,... some of whom really, REALLY needed it.
11/30/03
We had a great time last night at West End Smokehouse and Tavern!
Superflux got its start on that stage, with a little help from
Tony D and the boys in Jet420. That was was over three years
ago, when it was called Smitty's. It's been a good two years since
we last played there; they've come a long way,... and so have we.
Thanks to Stanley Knox and Big Joe Franklin for coming out
to hang with us last night!
